New openings lift Rezidor
Rezidor saw revenues increase 10% to EU864.2m in its full year figures for 2011, assisted by new openings. Revpar eased up 3.7% with flatlining occupancy.
Accor beats expectations
Accor has reported 2011 revenues up 2.5% at EU6.1bn. Like-for-like EBIT was up 32.6% to EU530m.
Asset sales lift Millennium
Millennium Hotels reported revenues up 9.5% at GBP820.5m for full year 2011. The company grew revpar 5.8%, mainly by improving room rate.
Fresh bid for Moscow’s National
A new suitor has emerged for the Hotel National in Moscow, just two months after it was sold in a government auction for USD155m. Kazak-based Verny Capital has offered USD350m for the 201 room hotel.
Hyatt faces suit down under
The new owner of the Hyatt Coolum on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast has served an AU60m writ on Hyatt. Mining magnate Clive Palmer is claiming the hotel has not been managed properly.
